I would like to take this opportunity to greet our valued readers and researchers and to thank them for their support. I would also like to point out that we have now, after seven years of publication, found it necessary to increase the price of our magazine since the annual sum of subscriptions received no longer adequately covers the cost of production of the magazine.
Review of Culture provides a service to culture, being a trilingual publication in Chinese, Portuguese and English. It is, we feel, of great cultural importance to Macau, Portugal and China. In addition to these three areas, however, our readship and researchers extend to all parts of the world. During the seven years since our first publication, we have endeavoured to maintain the high standard of our magazine whilst at the same time refraining from raising the price although inflation has increased during this period and thus the cost of production.
Therefore, we are setting out for you below our new prices, which in fact were initiated in January of this year.
