The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presented its Children’s Choir Annual Concert last Sunday (December 17) at the Small Auditorium.

Before an enthusiastic audience of friends and family, the young voices performed widely known musical tunes such as “Do You Hear The People Sing”, “Do-Re-Mi” and “Consider Yourself”. The show warmed up with the choristers moving their bodies to the sound of “Wakati Wa Amani” and “Amani Utupe”, lively songs featuring African drums, followed by “The Chipmunk Song” and “Feliz Navidad” to celebrate the festive season. At the end of the concert, the choir presented an animation medley arranged by local musician Pai Leader.

The CCM Children’s Choir provides quality music education to children aged 8 to 16 seeking for a fun learning environment. The kids will develop their vocal talent and musical interest through weekly choral practice as well as creative activities, including community oriented events conceived to boost interpersonal skills and artistic sensitivity.

The choir is currently recruiting new members. Candidates may submit application forms by December 20 at the Macao Cultural Centre or any Macao Ticketing Network outlet. Auditions will take place on December 30 and 31. For further information, please visit www.ccm.gov.mo.
