Huang Yong is the founder and music director of the Beijing Nine-Gates International Jazz Festival, lifelong judge of the International Jazz Juniors Festival and Competition in Cracow and the international jazz artist contest Riga Jazz Stage, and lifelong advisor of the Nice International Jazz Festival. Over the years, Huang has been actively promoting the development of original Chinese jazz music across China and has held a series of talks such as “Life Lit up by Music”, “A Brief History of Jazz Music”, “About Keys to Musicians’ Collaboration”, “Jazz Music and Contemporary Life”  and “Combination of Jazz Music and Ethnic Culture”  in music conservatories, China National Radio and China Radio International. In this talk, he will introduce participants to the evolution and different types of jazz music.
