Internationally acclaimed for their refined sound, dynamic control, sublime balance and ensemble articulation, I Musici have been enchanting audiences for over 60 years! After hearing a performance, the great conductor Arturo Toscanini called I Musici “the finest chamber orchestra in the world.” Founded in 1951, the ensemble established a stellar reputation for their insightful interpretations of Baroque music, focusing on the works of Antonio Vivaldi and Tomaso Albinoni. Performing in the most venerated concert halls and the most prestigious music festivals around the world, this ensemble of twelve individual instrumental masters has also compiled an extensive and award winning discography. Over the years, I Musici has greatly expanded their repertory to include works by contemporary composers as well.

We are delighted to welcome this world-famous ensemble for two exciting performances in this year’s festival. The first concert, entitled Oscars and Cartoon Fantasyis dedicated to Oscar-winning soundtracks from the world of cinema, as well as to humorous and entertaining musical tunes from familiar and highly popular animated cartoons such as Star Wars, Cinderella and Popeye the Sailor Man, among others!
