The Macao Orchestra celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR with some of the most famous pieces of the Chinese repertoire. Renowned pianist Shi Shucheng is soloist in the historical Yellow River Piano Concerto, which he also arranged, while the eminent violinist Yu Lina, who debuted the "Butterfly Lovers" Violin Concerto fifty years ago, comes to Macao to perform the popular work once again, this time under the baton of great Chinese conductor Chen Xieyang, former Music Director of the Shanghai Symphony.
