“The Golden Lotus Flower” from Macao Psalms and Excerpts from The Bewitching Braid are two world premieres, commissioned from renowned Chinese composers Tang Jianping and Guan Naizhong. This brand new music is brought to life by the Macao Chinese Orchestra in a truly one-of-a-kind concert.

The performance also features the traditional tune “High Moon”, which gives way to the jubilant “Playing in Jest” Pipa Concerto before the Dizi lends its graceful air to the "Out on the Empty Mountain" Concerto. In closing, the orchestra speaks as one to the hearts of all with the famous Qin army of "Terracotta Warriors" in Peng Xiuwen's Fantasia, the last of the programme’s Chinese pearls.
