Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage – Family Marionette Workshop

Target Participants: Children aged 8 to 12 accompanied by an adult

Participants will be led by Cai Jiajie, an Impression of Iec Long performer. The workshop will focus on the working principles of marionettes and their production techniques, as well as the main features of Quanzhou puppetry.

Instructor: Cai Jiajie
A graduate in puppetry from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Cai is an artist of the Quanzhou marionette puppetry, an intangible cultural heritage.

 

Remarks:

  1. Participants are recommended to wear comfortable clothing;
  2. The parent and child pair should work together to build a marionette;
  3. Each pair will be provided with one pack of materials.
