Admission list of MAM’s Spring Art Courses announced

The Macao Museum of Art (MAM) under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (MAM) will host the annual Spring Art Courses from the early April to the end of June this year. The first admission list of selected candidates has been announced and limited seats are still available in some courses.

The Spring Art Courses feature 22 classes, in which nearly 700 applications have been received. The first admission list of selected candidates have been announced in MAM’s webpage and can be found at the reception on the first floor of MAM. Selected candidates must submit course fees from 28 to 30 March, and those who fail to pay the course fee on time will be replaced by applicants on the waiting list.

Limited seats are still available in the following art workshops, and application is on a first-come, first-served basis: “Crazy Art: Children’s Creative Workshop (Class B)” for children aged between 8 and 12, allowing children to wander into an imaginative world of contemporary art; “Creativity and Fact Recording in History Paintings” for art lovers aged 16 or above, exploring traces in historical paintings; “Travelling the Inner Harbour with Drawings: Scenery Sketching”, taking an overview of the coastal view along the Inner Harbour and telling the story of Macao’s transformation. Interested parties are welcome to apply for the aforementioned courses and submit the course fees from 28 March to 2 April, at the reception of MAM, Macao Central Library, Patane Library, Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Areia Preta Urban Park, Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Municipal Park or Taipa Library.

In addition, application for Advanced Art Workshops are still available, students with creation experiences can make registration through the Activity Registration System at the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s website. In “Masterclass of Creation”, renowned artist Konstantin Nikolayevitch Bessmertny will introduce art and creativity for students. In “Human Figure Oil Painting”, Lai Sio Kit, a full-time artist with a Master of Arts in Oil Painting from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, will demonstrate techniques on composition and color of oil painting.
