In order support the local originality and promote the development of cultural and creative industry, the 30th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, has invited local cultural entities to design a series of souvenirs encompassing the theme of this year’s MIMF, ‘Glorious 30.The Sinophone Rhapsodies’. The souvenir series aim to showcase the vitality of the 30th Macao International Music Festival.
This year the Festival presents souvenirs inspired by the concept of “Embrace 30 ‧ Embrace Music”, with the themes of “Love”, “Dream” and “Happiness” of the three prominent programmes of this Festival Turandot, A Dream of Fragrancy and Chaplin Once More!, to pass the positive energy that the music brings. Souvenirs include: Chaplin Once More! document folder, Glorious 30, Turandot and A Dream of Fragrancy folders as well as ‘Music’ cushion. The design features an integration of illustration of the lively musician character ‘Gugumesic’ developed by Gugemelo Studio as it did last year, and the calligraphy by Macao poet and calligraphy educator Elvis Mok in the souvenirs, bringing the Pearl Jubilee the visual and cultural sparks.
MIMF souvenirs will be available for sale at discounted prices at Macao Cultural Centre, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Mount Fortress, St. Dominic's Church and Park of Dr. Carlos d’Assumpção during the performance period of MIMF, in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
