Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the “1st Concert of the Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums” was held in the evening of 28 May, Saturday, at the Tap Siac Craft Market.

The performing artists selected by the beneficiaries of the “2014 Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums” performed songs of subsidised albums at the “1st Concert of the Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums” live. The performing artists of the subsidised albums include Tuna Macaense, Queena Tam, Sean Pang, Bobby Lio (represented by Fall to Fly), Forget the G and Wong Eunice. The performance was attended by many spectators who got to know more about Macao’s composers and producers as well as the development of original local music.

The “Tap Siac Craft Market”, held from 27 to 29 May and from 3 to 5 June, from 5pm to 10pm at Tap Siac Square, features 200 booths and also presents concerts and handicraft workshops. In addition to local cultural and creative practitioners, IC has also invited participants from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Korea. It was well-received by residents and tourists for the purchase of cultural and creative products. A “Flogos machine” was newly introduced in this year’s Craft Market, this innovation attracted the public’s interaction. Besides, the opening ceremony of the Tap Siac Craft Market originally scheduled on that day was cancelled due to bad weather conditions; while the Concert of the Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums and handicraft workshops were held as usual.

Inaugurated in 2008, the “Tap Siac Craft Market” is Macao’s first large-scale integrated platform for display and sale of cultural and creative products, also featuring original music performances and handicraft workshops. Every year the event attracts participants from Macao and abroad and has been well-received by both residents and tourists since its inception.
