To improve library services, all major libraries under the Macao Central Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau will be equipped with self-service book serialisation units from today. The units primarily sterilise books of dust or microorganisms such as influenza A (H1N1) virus/germs, bacteria, E. coli, moulds and silverfish with UV-C light so that residents can take books home and feel at ease when reading them, knowing the books are germ free.
