Filmed live in London’s West End, featuring state-of-the-art visuals, Life of Pi is a play adapted by Lolita Chakrabarti telling an epic journey of endurance and hope. Brought to life in a breath-taking new way for cinema screens, this Olivier Award-winning production displays a unique blend of puppetry, magic and storytelling.

The piece is adapted from the best-selling novel by Canadian writer Yann Martel, whose original book sold 10 million copies the world over, and brings us good memories of Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning film released in 2012. Reviving the thrills of both hits, Chakrabarti’s play has been on successful international tours, including a recent stint at the Broadway.

After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, a 16-year-old boy named Pi is stranded on a lifeboat with four other survivors – a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Bengal tiger. Time is against them, nature is harsh, who will survive this thrilling adventure?
