The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presents the ARTmusing Summer Workshops, a series of activities reaching out to a diversity of audiences running from July through August 2021.

Challenging kids to take their first steps exploring the mysteries of the arts, CCM conceived a set of workshops aimed at various ages and interests. Families are also invited to join in these shared moments conceived to involve all, while the imagination of the city’s youth shall be taken to the edge through makeup, singing and dance sessions. The artistic melting pot will once again welcome senior friends who may join to prove that artistic reinvention has no age.

Children’s Workshops will take kids through an array of different themes, ranging from a set of sessions designed to familiarize them with various instruments, to puppetry theatre and a journey through the secrets of Peking opera. This edition will include an acrobatic workshop tailored to complement bodies and minds, and short presentations offering little artists a real opportunity to test and showcase their skills.

And to bring kids and parents closer, this year’s Family Workshops will take babies in an interactive stroll that will let them explore and be inspired by soothing sounds and shapes. Parents and their little tots may also join musical and physical sessions carefully devised to stimulate all senses.

The Youth Workshops will introduce teens to a pallet of rhythms from all over the world, providing them with the chance of joining an exciting folk music tour or turning into their favourite characters as they discover tricks and techniques behind makeup for performing arts.

The series is completed with proposals designed for more experienced participants in the Senior Friends Workshops offering many a chance to fulfil artistic fantasies. Those attending these sessions are invited to explore dancing and singing skills, reinventing themselves through simple, creative methods, transmitted interactively.

Bringing insights to a growing number of performing arts lovers, the ARTmusing Summer Workshops are part of a regular cultural event taking place each year. This edition includes a string of more than 80 intensive workshops, boasting over 230 sessions, happening from July through August. Pre-registration for all upcoming sessions will be open from 18 to 24 May at CCM’s box office, the Macao Ticketing Network website and outlets. Enrolment will be taking place from May 27 to June 27. Given the current epidemic situation everyone in the premises is required to wear a mask, present the health declaration and have their temperature monitored.
