Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and Macao Artists Society, the “Paths Crisscrossed into Imagery – Exhibition of Artworks of the Members of Macao Artists Society 2018” will be inaugurated on Friday, 5 October, at 6:30pm, at the Nam Van Old Court Building. All are welcome to the opening.
This exhibition showcases 176 recent works by three generations of members of the Macao Artists Society. The works on display reflect a variety of styles, from traditional landscapes and flowers and birds, to abstract works and comics, and use different means of expression such as watercolour, oil, sketch, Chinese painting, calligraphy and lacquer, among others, offering the public the change to appreciate excellent local productions. The Macao Artists Society was created several decades ago, insisting on tradition while encouraging creativity, and is committed to training new talents and strives to promote the development of Macao’s art circles. Likewise, it offers a display platform to local artists by organizing all kinds of exhibitions and activities.
“Paths Crisscrossed into Imagery – Exhibition of Artworks of the Members of Macao Artists Society 2018” will be open from 6 October to 14 November at the Old Court Building. Admission is free. The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 8pm including on public holidays and is closed on Mondays.
