MOP stands for the initials of the currency of Macao, representing a quantifiable value. But can a city be quantified? Can the existence of the people inhabiting it be quantified as well? How can their passion to live gradually fade away? “MO+P” also stands for the choreographers and dancers from Macao (MO) and Poland (P), who search for hope on stage and in doing so reinterpret the essence of life through the art of dance.

Since 2010, three Macao dance companies, Violet Dance Company, Ieng Chi Dance Association and The Dancer Studio Macao have been engaged in a three-year exchange project with renowned Polish contemporary dance master Jacek Luminski. During this period, the participants trained and performed intensively in Macao, Poland and Singapore. Three young local talents, Jacqueline Vong, Chloe Lao and Wina Tang, collaborated to choreograph MOP under the artistic direction of Professor Luminiski.
