Geraldo, a law intern, is thrown head first into the world of the courts the moment he enters the firm of his new boss. A hard worker, honest and ingenuous, Geraldo is suddenly confronted with the professional reality of the trial – and it has nothing to do with the case studies he learned in university. The fascinating and unforgiving world of law, where passion doesn’t always go hand in hand with cold, calculating technique, leads the young apprentice to question what it really means to be a lawyer.
Thus unfolds the story of Right, Mr. Counsellor, a new play from Dóci Papiaçám di Macau. The only local theatre group performing in the Macanese Patuá, they are now a long-standing, regular favourite on Macao Arts Festival programmes. Each year the drama group presents a new work rich in humour and the particular traits of the region.
