A blast of frozen air blows in from the north
carrying with it the music of Scandinavia and Northern Russia over mountains and
icy rivers until it reaches Macao. The folk music of the people from the top of
the world is echoed in the work of these three nationalistic classical composers
who invited melodies from the countryside into the scores of their masterworks.
