Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and the Macao Artists Society, the “Exhibition of Artworks of the Members of Macao Artist Society 2020” will be inaugurated on 8 October (Thursday), at 6:30pm, at the Old Court Building. All are welcome to participate.
The exhibition showcases around 190 recent works (sets) by three generations of members of the Macao Artist Society. The works on display reflect a variety of themes and styles, and use a variety of Chinese and Western means of expression, including traditional Chinese painting, ink wash painting, calligraphy, watercolour, oil painting, printmaking, digital drawing, as well as three-dimensional means such as ceramics and metalworking. The exhibition is colourful and provides the audience wonderful local creations. Over the years, the Macao Artist Society has nurtured many local artistic talents and has been committed to promoting the development of Macao’s art circles. Likewise, it offers a platform for local artists to showcase their achievements by organising all kinds of exhibitions and activities.
The “Exhibition of Artworks of the Members of Macao Artist Society 2020” is open from 9 October to 10 November, at the Exhibition Hall of the Old Court Building, located at No. 459, Avenida da Praia Grande, Macao. Admission is free. The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 8pm, including on public holidays and is closed on Mondays.
