Twenty-third issue of C2 Magazine discusses how to make dreams come true in the cultural and creative industries

Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by the Like Entertainment & Production Co. Ltd., the twenty-third issue of C2 Magazine will be launched on Wednesday, 4 October. Recently, many cultural and creative businesses begin to grow in Macao. In order to explore how to increase creative value and develop potential concepts and projects as scale industry, three cultural and creative practitioners engaged in the fields of comic, fashion and dance are invited to share their experience on how to make dream come true in the cultural and creative industries.

In the section “Feature”, celebrities from local comic, fashion and dance fields share their experience on the development of their brands through support of Cultural Industries Fund and cooperation with individuals and entities from other regions. For a cultural and creative practitioner, creation is not difficult but the operation and marketing is the real challenge. This issue discusses how the three professionals turn excellent ideas into a business which can create economic value.

The cultural and creative industry in Macao is innovating and becoming more diversified. The sections “Brand Story” and “Budding Talents” introduce two local brands created by young people, through the new ideas of advertisement strategy in “Grandma Belacan” and online video platform “Bacalhau”, to share the new trends of local cultural industries. In the section “Around the Globe”, local musician Kuong Weng Hang will lead the audience to get to know the largest music festival about Sony System and Bass Music in Europe—Outlook Festival and he will share his insights on the opportunities and challenges of the music industry in Macao. In the “Blogs” section, seven columnists, Lo Che Ying, Lawrence Lei, Lam Sio Man, Un Sio San, Sio Ng, Ron Lam and Yap Seow Choong, share their unique perspectives on the development of the cultural and creative industries.
