City․Impression: Exhibition of Macao Old Photos

This exhibition illustrates a photo series of the old Macao and its population from the Macao Archives. It consists of the architecture, the surroundings, the daily lives and the people with various aspects of social life and urban growth of Macao that belong to a time that one can no longer witness,these photographs were taken between 1960s and 1990s.

The purpose of this exhibition is reveals Macao was once a tiny and quiet town, full of human touch and stories around every corners of the street, as part of its past history.

Despite many of the buildings or scenes have changed due to an accelerated social and urban development, and some are no longer in existence, but relying on these precious old photographs it helps to reflect our belonging in a very familiar and cordial place, along with changes in flow of times. In addition, it allows us to understand more about the citys old lifestyle in order to value the presence of the city impression.
