To encourage and foster local music stars, this year’s Macao International Music Festival continues to host Bravo Macao! for local musicians to showcase their talents.

Cheong Hoi Leong is now studying Piano Performance as well as Composition and Computer Music Technology at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) under a scholarship from the Academy. He has garnered several prizes in piano competitions in Macao and Hong Kong, including the Talent Prize of Macao Youth Musicians Competition (MYMC) for three times.

Chan Sin is now studying Piano Performance at HKAPA. She was awarded the Talent Prize for four times and the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize in MYMC, and won the second prize in the Yundi Macao Young Musicians Competition in 2012.

Timothy Sun is one of the most active saxophonists in Hong Kong and Macao. He completed his Master’s Degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2006 with outstanding performance. He is now teaching at the Macao Conservatory, HKAPA and the Hong Kong Baptist University, and he also collaborates with orchestras in Macao, Hong Kong and Mainland China as a soloist.
