La Bayadère is set in India, with its unique character and colourful culture. The story describes the epic love between Nikiya, a temple dancing girl, and the warrior Solar. Sadly, the unlucky lovers have no choice but to separate. This classic Russian ballet features a riotous profusion of brightly coloured costumes that are strongly reminiscent of India.

Nikiya: Tong Shusheng, Wang Jun, Sun Xin

Solar: Chao Lemeng, Zou Gang, Wang Zhiwei

Original choreography: Marius Petipa

Music: Ludwig Minkus
