The Drum Music Art Ensemble of Jiangzhou was established in Beijing in 1988, the first group to promote folk arts onstage and to make the traditional art of the Chinese gong and drum more appealing to the public. Since then, the ensemble has performed regularly at the Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Great Theatre, Guangzhou Xinghai Concert Hall and Shenzhen Great Theatre and has won many prizes in China and abroad. The group is renowned for presenting top international quality performances.
