#Dance

Life grants us fascinating vistas. Let’s take the stage and swing freely.

Taiwanese choreographer Su Wei-Chia explores new choreographic and physical possibilities with FreeSteps, a ten-year project launched in 2013, depicting and discovering the different forms of a dancing crowd. Using the purely dancing body as material, Su ponders the performer-audience relationship in contemporary dance, aiming to provide an alternative viewing experience.

In 2022, Su collaborated with nearly 100 senior dancers, transforming different life experiences into dance, staging FreeSteps – Swinging Years, where they told stories through their bodies. This time, the choreographer visits us bringing a shorter group of ten elderly dancers from Taiwan.

After the last performance, on the 21st of January, it will be time for Dance and Jam, a session that will challenge everyone to step onstage and show their moves.

Duration: Approximately 55 minutes
For aged 6 and above

Remarks:
Participants in the Dance and Jam session are required to take off their shoes, socks are recommended.
