Students of the School of Dance
disclose learning progress
This
Thursday (July 20) at 8pm, a group of ambitious and talented students will step
onto the stage of Macao Cultural Centre’s Grand Auditorium, showing to the
audience the fruit of their yearlong learning in Macao Conservatory’s School of
Dance. “Growing up with Dance – The Annual Dance Performance of the School of
Dance 2006” will present fifteen original dances of different themes.
In
the past years, Macao Conservatory’s School of Dance has provided local dancing
lovers with high quality education and has succeeded in training up new local
art talents as a contribution in promoting Macao’s cultural development. This
year’s annual performance is the most multifarious compared to the ones in past.
Students from advanced and intermediate courses will perform fifteen dances of
various themes. Eight original short dances, including My Heart Flies,
choreographed and performed by the School’s teachers, and the ballet Useless
Caution, will surely leave deep memories in the spectators’ mind.
Moreover,
students of the “Full-time Intermediate Dancing Course” launched last year will
present their first stage performance, bringing to the audience professional
performances such as Chinese dance, modern dance and the second scene of the
classic ballet Swan Lake.
“Growing up with Dance – The Annual Dance
Performance of the School of Dance 2006” is a dancing stage for students to show
their talents and is a testimony to the teachers’ fruitful teaching
achievements. There are still a small amount of tickets available at the Kong
Seng ticketing outlet. Tickets are priced at MOP$80 and MOP$60 with various
discounts available. Ticketing hotline: 555 555.
