Summary
This book offers a perspective of the two main threads in the development of Western painting in Macao by local painters and artists who had a close relationship with the city from the early 20th century to the mid-1980s, namely the influence of Realism and Modernism on Macao fine arts. The book comprises four parts, featuring more than 150 works by a total of 60 artists. It also presents the artistic experience of major masters and their disciples across the times with a focus on the persons and events historically relevant to Macao art, in a retrospective of an artistic period full of romantic feelings.
