In the province of Quamtum, in that part that moves towards the south and is bathed by the sea, the most important place is occupied by the city of Quancaeu, 2 which is the capital of the entire province. It is 113 days from the extreme limits of the kingdom of the Chinese to the north, and 55 miles from the city of Cuiceau to the east, 55 miles from the city of Sciauchin to the west, 85 miles from the sea coast to the south, 101 miles from the city of Sciauceu to the north, from the royal city of Pachin Suon tien fu, that is 1959 miles from Quinsi in the province of Pachin, 1097 miles from the city of Intien in the province of Nanchin. 33,000 pounds of rice, wheatb and other cereals. Sciau ceu fu, which is the second in order, is 100 days' journey from the extreme northern Chinese borders. It is 721/2 miles to the east of the city of Nam ium, 112 miles to the west of Quam ceu Chien ceu, 921/2 miles to the south of Quanceu, 90 miles to the north of the city of Liaceu of the province of Huquam, 1,829 miles from royal Pachin, 8981/2 miles from Nanchin. 50,000 pounds of cereals. There is a new Jesuit Fathers' residence. 7 In this city there are also universities for the study of medicine and religion.

Nam iu fu, third in order, it is 100 day's journey from the extreme limits of the kingdom of the Chinese. It is 60 miles to the east of Iam iuon ceu fu of the province of Chian si, 70 miles west of Ciau ceu fu, 70 miles, 150 miles to the south of Quamceu, 40 miles to the north of the city of Nam ngan of the province of Chiam si, 1,686 miles from the royal Pachin; 300,005 pound of cereals per annum. University of medicine and religion.

Cui ceu fu. 9

Cui ceu fu, fourth in order, it is 122 days' journey from extreme opposite confines of the kingdom. It is 100 miles east of Ciauceu fu, 60 miles from the sea coast of Quanceu to the west, 40 miles from the sea coast to the south, 100 miles to the north of Ciauceu fu. f 67,000 pounds of cereals.
