The “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” kicks off and presents outstanding films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries with the theme “All Rivers Flow to the Sea”

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) and supported by the Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” will be held from 4 to 18 November, during which 30 films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries will be screened. The screening of the opening film Hero was held recently (4 Nov) at the Galaxy Cinema of Galaxy MacauTM, and was attended by the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai Man; Member of the Cultural Consultative Committee, Choi Ian Sin; Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Christina Sin; the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Cheong Lai San, and the Acting Head of the Department for Promoting Cultural and Creative Industries of IC, Chong Siu Pang, among others. Before the opening screening, the organiser arranged for a musical performance to kick off the Film Festival.

4th Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries and 25th Lusofonia Festival inaugurated

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office, Municipal Affairs Bureau, TDM - Teledifusão de Macau, S.A. and the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, the 4th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” is held concurrently with the 25th Lusofonia Festival, featuring the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, the “Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community” and the “Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair”, seeking to create a theme park of Sino-Portuguese cultural encounter in areas near the Taipa Houses and the Carmo Hall, and to offer unique multicultural experiences to residents and tourists.

25th Lusofonia Festival starts this Friday (28th) A three-day celebration of Portuguese flavours

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the 25th Lusofonia Festival will be held from 28 to 30 October, at the Taipa Houses. This year's event will focus on Macao's Macanese culture, including Macanese Gastronomy and Handicraft Exhibitions, and will showcase the culture of each of the local Portuguese-speaking communities through their respective stands, music and dance performances, typical cuisine, games, amongst other contents with characteristics of the Portuguese-speaking countries.

Themed “All Rivers Flow to the Sea”  the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” presents outstanding films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) and supported by the Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, integrated in the 4th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” will be held from 4 to 18 November. Themed “All Rivers Flow to the Sea”, this year’s Film Festival will present nearly 30 outstanding films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries. The opening film In Search of Lost Time will be screened on 4 November at the Galaxy Cinemas. Members of the public who participate in designated activities can redeem tickets for the opening film. Tickets for other film screenings will be available on sale from today.

The 4th Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office, Municipal Affairs Bureau, TDM - Teledifusão de Macau, S.A. and the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, will be held this year from October to November. Running concurrently with the 25th Lusofonia Festival, the event also features the China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival, the Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community and the Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair, seeking to create a theme park of Sino-Portuguese cultural encounter in areas near the Taipa Houses and the Carmo Hall, and offer unique multicultural experiences to residents and tourists alike.
