Liu Huiming

Liu is deputy director, associate professor and a supervisor of the Master’s degree programme at the Department of Music Performance, College of Music and Dance of Guangzhou University. In 2013, she was funded by the government to study abroad, and in 2016, she pursued further studies in piano teaching and collaborative piano in the United States. During her time there, she gave a number of recitals and collaborative piano concerts, and was invited by the Georgia Music Teachers Association to give a lecture titled The Developing Lingnan Music.
A music educator for many years, Liu has been exploring and developing innovative teaching methods, and has won several Outstanding Teacher Awards in various piano competitions. She attaches great importance to putting theory into practice, and encourages students to participate in piano competitions at home and abroad to gain experience. Many of her students have won first prizes at various piano competitions.
