Chen, Ju-Chi

An expert at bowed string instruments like Nanhu, Gaohu, and Zhonghu, Ju-Chi won the Nanhu Solo Competition in Taiwan, and the Chinese Music Solo Competition (Nanhu group) of the Broadcasting Corporation of China. He has been an adviser to many Chinese music bands of universities, junior and senior high schools, as well as elementary schools across Taiwan, whose students won many awards. He was the concertmaster and deputy conductor of the First Label Chinese Orchestra, associate and deputy conductor of TCO, and the conductor of the Youth Chinese Orchestra, affiliated to TCO.
He is currently the conductor of the Chinese Music Orchestra, affiliated to the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, of the Chinese Music Orchestra of the Taichung Cultural Center, and of the Taipei Youth Chinese Orchestra, as well as a professor at the Department of Chinese Music of the National Taiwan University of Arts. He is also an adviser to the Chinese music bands of the Taipei Chenggong High School and the Taipei Municipal Guang Fu Elementary School.
