The Bloom of Youth is a production by Macau Pooi To Middle School recognised with Distinction in the secondary category of the 32^nd Macao Inter-school Drama Competition. The story follows two girls about to graduate from high school, as they navigate personal aspirations, family expectations and financial pressures. Will they succeed in getting into their dream universities?

Biographical Notes

Macau Pooi To Middle School

The Macau Pooi To Middle School values the cultivation of students’ all-round development in the domains of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills and aesthetics, the multiple intelligences concept, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Its drama society encourages students to participate in the creative process and learn the basic acting techniques and knowledge through theatrical activities. They were recognised with Distinction in the secondary category of the 32^nd Macao Inter-school Drama Competition with The Bloom of Youth, as students Wu Weng Hei and Wong Hao Tong were awarded the Best Actor in the secondary category, and teacher Joanna Chan Ka I received the Best Director in the secondary category.
