Taking inspiration from the classic episode in the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, where Zhuge Liang cleverly uses the power of the east wind, this work highlights a sense of shared humanity and conveys the life wisdom according to which one ‘helps oneself by helping others’. Rooted in the dynamic rhythm of street dance, the performance integrates the classical Chinese aesthetic notion of xiaoyao (free and unfettered), creating urban moves infused with a strong Chinese flavour that enriches the audience’s experience.
