Adapted from the tale ‘Zhou Chu Eliminates the Three Evils’ in A New Account of the Tales of the World, this production merges dance, theatre, and visual arts to explore the tension between human nature and society. Zhou Chu, a reckless youth, sets out to change his notorious reputation by embarking on a journey to eliminate the ‘three evils’. But what are the true evils – wild beasts, wicked men, or the obsessions and prejudices of the human heart?

Biographical Notes

Macau Space for Dance Idea

Founded in 2015, the Macau Space for Dance Idea seeks to create works reflecting local characteristics and promote lesser-known dance genres and styles. In recent years, the group has been focused on creating cross-over joint productions. They have performed at the Performing Arts Gala of the Macao Arts Festival, Parade for the Lunar New Year celebration, Macao International Parade, and at a Portuguese folk-dance event.
