Zhang is a professor and a postgraduate tutor at the Piano Department of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, a directorof the Piano Society of the Chinese Musicians Association and a Yamaha Artist. She has performed with musicians from different countries, and was invited to give masterclasses in the United States, Japan, New Zealand and Germany. She regularly serves as a jury member for major piano competitions in Mainland China and Hong Kong, and has given lectures and recitals in Mainland China. As a piano pedagogue, she has published academic writings in music journals such as People’s Music, The Academic Periodical of Shenyang Conservatory of Music and Piano Artistry. Many of her students have won prizes in national and international piano competitions and some are teaching at universities worldwide.
