Zhi Yuanxingfang

Zhi started learning the piano at an early age and obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance at the Central Conservatory of Music. During her studies, she won several scholarships, and participated in performances and art exchanges as a representative of the Conservatory. After graduation she served as a faculty member in the Conservatory, and is currently an associate professor at the Piano Department.

Zhi is active on the music scene, having given solos and ensemble concerts in different cities, and appeared in concerts. Her research The Art of Piano Improvisation was selected to the Beijing Higher Education Young Elite Teacher Project. Committed to promoting piano music in China, she has been an adjudicator, guest performer and lecturer for different music competitions.
