Julan Wang

A Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, majoring in piano performance and minoring in harpsichord, Wang is a lecturer at the Piano Department of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM), member of the jury at the Standard Grade Examination Committee of CCOM, and an examiner for the Music Grade Examination (piano) of the Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China. He won the First Prize at the New York “Golden Classical Music Awards” International Competition in 2017, and Second Prizes at the Louisiana International Piano Competition in 2013 and at the Wiesbaden International Piano Competition in 2004.

As an active pianist, he has performed in Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, and gave a recital at the Carnegie Hall in New York in 2014. Recently, he has made appearances in concerts and held lectures in various music events.
