Wu Chih-huan

Wu graduated from the Department of Sociology of Taiwan University, and then obtained a Master of Music in Performance from Bowling Green State University, a Performer’s Certificate and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music. He was the concertmaster and assistant conductor of the Dunshan Symphonic Wind Orchestra in China, principal saxophone of The Eastman Wind Ensemble, and has won a saxophone concerto competition at Eastman School of Music.

He has travelled around the world as a performer and an educator, and actively promotes solo saxophone and chamber music. In 2012 and 2016, he released albums Las 4 Estaciones Porteñas and Concerto respectively. Currently, he is the assistant professor of saxophone at the Taiwan University of Arts and the resident conductor of the Second Troupe of the Taipei Wind Orchestra & Symphonic Band.
