Wang is the acting principal trombone of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, a director of the Guangzhou Wind Music Society, an instructor of the Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra, and founder of the Guangzhou Low Brass Ensemble.

He often participates in trombone festivals and music festivals as a soloist or chamber musician, and has been invited to give trombone masterclasses. As a musician of Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, he has performed with the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Macao Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra and Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. Committed to promoting music education among teenagers, he has developed youth symphonic bands and symphony orchestras at schools and served as an instructor and advisor.
