Woo is currently assistant conductor (education and outreach) of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO), conductor of The Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra, a part-time lecturer and conductor at the School of Music of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and an erhu instructor of HKAPA’s Junior Music Programme. He was a freelance conducting instructor at the Department of Traditional Chinese Musical Instruments of Tianjin Conservatory of Music, resident conductor and postgraduate lecturer of the Conservatory’s Chinese orchestra.

Born in Hong Kong, Woo is the first student to graduate with a Master’s degree in Conducting from HKAPA, under the tutelage of Yan Huichang. He was the runner-up in The Second International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music, and the winner of the Outstanding Young Conductor of Hong Kong Award and the Audience Favourite Award. He has guest-conducted HKCO, Singapore Chinese Orchestra, Henan National Music Orchestra, Academy Chinese Orchestra and Academy Symphony Orchestra of HKAPA, Fanyin Chamber Orchestra of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble etc.
