Hsieh Tsung-Hsin

Hsieh graduated from the Department of Chinese Music of Taiwan School of Arts and the Department of Chinese Music of Chinese Culture University. She is currently serving as the principal percussion with Taipei Chinese Orchestra, an instructor at the Chinese Music Department of Tainan University of the Arts and the Department of Chinese Music of Chinese Culture University, and an assistant professor at the Department of Chinese Music of the Taiwan University of Arts.

Actively engaged in traditional and classical Chinese percussion music, Hsieh has won the hearts of music lovers with her delicate and dynamic performance style and musical interpretation. In 2010, she performed with Evelyn Glennie in the debut of Emperor Qin Crushing the Battle Formations, a percussion concerto featuring both Chinese and Western elements. She also worked with the Taipei Chinese Orchestra in the same year on the album Ecstatic Drumbeat, which was released globally by BIS Records.
