Luo Xiao
Luo is a professor of piano at the Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and a director of the Piano Society of the Chinese Musicians Association. In 1980, she was admitted to the Middle School and, in 1986, to the Piano Department of the Conservatory, where she studied under Sheng Yiqi, You Dachun, Li Mingqiang and Wang Jianzhong. After graduating in 1990, she stayed on as a teacher.
She has been teaching for more than 30 years, and nurtured many outstanding students. Some of them have become music educator, and some of them have won prizes in major piano competitions at home and abroad. In 2011, she was awarded the “Cultivation Award” by the education board of Xuhui District in Shanghai for her outstanding contribution.
