A Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Zheng is a piano teacher at the College of Music of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University. She began learning the piano at the age of five. At eight, she moved to Moscow, Russia, where she studied with Nigora Akhmedova. At 15, she was admitted to the Central Music School of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied under Yuri Slessarev. At 17, she was admitted to the Piano Department of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory with full marks and at 25, she obtained a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance with excellent results.

She has given recitals at home and abroad, and has won awards at several international piano competitions, including First Prize in Piano Solo G Category and the “Bach” Prize at the 22nd Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta” in Italy. Her researches have been published in musical journals in China and overseas.
