Wei Xiaofan

An associate professor at the Piano Department of Central Conservatory of Music, Wei has given recitals and ensemble concerts, and has performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Wang Xilin’s Music for Piano and 23 String Instruments with orchestras including the Central Philharmonic Orchestra, China Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra and Harbin Symphony Orchestra, receiving wide acclaim. In 2008, he was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award at the 4th TOYAMA Asian Youth Music Competition, Beijing Region. Recently, he has acted as a jury member for several national piano competitions.
He has participated in the recording of Wang Xilin’s Piano Works, Music Textbook Series of the 21st Century for Higher Education Lecturers: Piano and Into the World of Mozart. He is also the author of Piano Learning Guide for Children, Children’s Piano Learning and Guide for Music Examination: Piano (Grade 8).
