Wu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Taiwan University, a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Bowling Green State University, a Performer’s Certificate and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music. He was the Concertmaster and Assistant Conductor of the China Dunshan Symphonic Wind Orchestra, the Principal Saxophone of Eastman Wind Ensemble, and the winner of the saxophone concerto competition of Eastman School of Music.

He has travelled to different countries as a performer and an educator, and actively promotes saxophone solo and chamber music. In 2012 and 2016, he released albums Las 4 Estaciones Porteñas and Concerto respectively. Currently, he is the Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the Taiwan University of Arts and the Resident Conductor of the Second Troupe of the Taipei Wind Orchestra & Symphonic Band.
