Bassoonist and saxophonist, Ranran is a National First Class Performer, a member of Chinese Musicians Association, and a director of China Bassoon Society, Guangdong Musician Association, Guangdong Province Wind Association and Guangdong Music Education Association. He has been an adjudicator of the Wind Instruments and Percussion Competition in South China. In 1999, he joined the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and currently serves as the Associate Principal Bassoon.
In 2017, Ranran was chosen to be one of the twelve musicians of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra to participate in the Printemps Musical des Alizés in Essaouira, Morocco. In 2019, he joined the Orchestra to participate in the Winter at Tantora Festival in Saudi Arabia and performed with renowned pianist Lang Lang. He performed in the gala performance celebrating People’s Republic of China 70th Anniversary at Tiananmen Square in the same year.
