Born in Taipei, Lin is currently the Assistant Professor at the Department of Chinese Music of the Taiwan University of Arts and the President of the Da Ai Chinese Orchestra. He has given solo recitals as well as talks on dizi and xiao, and The Road of Inheritance recital series were well received. He has also made appearances on radio and television, and given talks.
