Zhejiang Province is naturally endowed with scenic beauty and ingenious people

Guizhou Province has a long history and is home to a variety mof ethnic groups. It contains a rich ethnic culture, which has given rise to a variety of customs and traditions. These, in turn, have bequeathed a vast amount of folk literature, music, dance, fine arts, traditional handicrafts, customs and other aspects of intangible cultural heritage – most of them still in their original form – to the humanity of the Chinese nation.

Lou Kau Mansion continues to introduce various items of Guizhou’s intangible cultural heritage over the next few months, among them Anshun wood carving and batik, both of which portray rich ethnic characteristics. Visitors may also enjoy the unique and colourful Guizhou culture through the Miao Ethnicity’s beautiful paper-cutting and tin embroidery traditions. Also presented will be traditional folk paintings, liquidambar printing and Huishui dyeing, as well as the excellent Sansui bamboo handicrafts, Sizhou inkstones, ethnic dolls and Yuping bamboo flutes.
