Hello everyone! I’m your good friend - MICAF. In the blink of an eye, the lively summer is back again! This year, I’ve teamed up with a group of new friends to prepare a wide array of fun and exciting programs for the 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival. I invite all of you to join us again in Macao and experience the art with your heart.
This year, the Macao Cultural Centre remains the main venue of our festival. On the performance stage, we’ll embark on a journey that starts in fairy tale lands, travels through outer space adventures, and leaps from dreamy ballets into the enchanting world of Disney musicals. Through this fantastical viewing experience, we’ll explore the stories of different protagonists, traveling the world alongside them. In addition to stage performances, this year’s festival features a wealth of activities. One of the highlights is the much-loved Arts Camp, which returns by popular demand. Campers will create unforgettable memories by spending the night at the Macao Cultural Centre! There’s more: interactive exhibitions, music camps, film screenings, children’s book corners, creative workshops, and so much more. With nine major programme sections presenting nearly a thousand performances and activities! Through a diverse range of events, we gain new perspectives and a deeper appreciation for the arts. Children can also participate together with their parents, creating and completing artistic works hand in hand. These joyful and heartwarming moments are sure to become treasured, irreplaceable memories that will stay with us for years to come.
Now, what am I most, most, most excited about? Of course, it’s the weekend parties at MICAF’s Happy Base in July and August! The outdoor plaza of the Cultural Centre will transform into a playground! The final two weekends of the holidays will feature a grand carnival with street performances, game booths, thrilling water play, and a bubbling foam party! So be sure to mark your calendars and get ready to make this summer vacation extra joyful. Together, let’s build a happy Macao and create a sky of our own for children!
