This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the successful inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To commemorate this milestone, the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau launch a special collection of exquisite commemorative items themed around the 20th Anniversary of the inscription, including a limited edition metal lapel pin set, postal items, and stationery gifts, all of which hold significant commemorative value.
We warmly invite the public to actively participate in the various related activities and to receive these valuable souvenirs.
This stamp issue highlights a number of valuable architectural landmarks within the “Historic Centre of Macao”, including Na Tcha Temple (next to Ruins of St. Paul’s College), Mount Fortress, St. Anthony’s Church and forecourt, St. Dominic’s Church, and Ruins of St. Paul’s College (Former Mater Dei Church, forecourt and staircase). The vibrant and colourful designs of these sites fully exemplify the enduring legacy of the district concerning its historical, cultural and universal values.
