Under the baton of renowned conductor Liu Shun, the Macao Chinese Orchestra presents the fabulous Night of Macao, a concert in collaboration with young percussionist Zheng Yu and award-winning erhu player Lu Yiwen. With numerous appearances in halls at home and abroad, these two virtuosi will fully convey the aesthetics of Chinese traditional music through Asturias (Leyenda) for handpan and Chinese orchestra, and the surreal erhu piece Relieved in Dream

Composed by Singapore Cultural Medallion winner Eric Watson, Night of Macao will have its world premiere, unveiling a score that embodies the city spirit, performed alongside Postcard of Macao, both works commissioned by the Macao Chinese Orchestra. Featuring an array of skillful musicians, this orchestral feast is imbued with the colours and flavours that make our city so unique!

* Due to the unforeseen circumstances, the guzheng master Wang Zhongshan, will be replaced by young percussionist Zheng Yu.
